Ben and I spent a week enjoying the reefs of Bonaire (an island in the southern Caribbean) in December 2004 to celebrate my successful oral exams in the fall. Most of our photographic effort went into underwater video, but I managed to get a few above-water shots.

Ben and I spent a long weekend camping in the Sierras last fall to relax just after my oral exams. The weather was beautiful (albeit cold) and the colors were stunning.
